If you're visiting the KI blog today and you're not familiar with our kit club, here's a little information that should help. Each month we take the guesswork out of your papercrafting by providing a kit filled with coordinating supplies. It includes everything you need to whip up a batch of cards, a scrapbook layout, or even a 3D project. In order to get you started, our design team provides lots of inspiration here on the Key Ingredients Blog as well as in the Key Ingredients Gallery. And you can also click here to find this month's inspiration sheets with project ideas and instructions for creating them yourself! I know your time is limited so we do everything possible to make papercrafting both creative and easy for you!
And even if you've been a long-time subscriber to the Key Ingredients we have something new for you today! Based on the valuable feedback you gave us in our recent survey, we're introducing two new features this month:
1. You can now find all the coordinating products for the current kit all in one category under the Subscriptions department on our website. You can go to the department by clicking HERE. We hope this makes your shopping for coordinating items quicker and easier!
2. Many of you told us that you're often away from your computer when you dig into your kit and you would like to have a printed copy of the Inspiration Sheets to take with you wherever you go. So this is for you! The full-color Inspiration Sheets (6 total) are available for $4.95 each and if purchased before the end of the Key Ingredients discount period we will include it with the shipment of your kit! Click HERE to purchase this item.
OK... now I get to share my projects! I wanted to see how many cards I could create using the supplies from this kit and let me tell you, it is just about endless! I made 12 cards and I had to stop (dinner, laundry, and other duties were calling!), but I still have tons of supplies left! If you were to add just one extra pack of cardstock you could easily make 30 cards with the supplies in the kit!
I used the Labels of Love II stamp set and the coordinating Ribbon Tags Trio 3 Dies to create Valentine cards, thank you cards, New Year cards, and general winter greetings. I also used the Winter Wonderland stamp set to create the "Let it Snow" card. Other than those two stamp sets, I cut out several penguins from the patterned paper to use as the images. And it's impossible to see in the pictures, but I added Crackle Accents to just about everything in this kit...the snowflake buttons, the cutout snowflakes, below the penguins and it gives a super fun effect!
Along with the supplies in the kit I also added a few other items to my cards like Red Rhinestones, Turquoise Viva Pearl Pen, Medium Scalloped Border die, Small Scalloped Border die, Totally Tags dies, Inks (Lime Pastel, Olive Pastel, Lipstick Red), and Winter Wonderland Snowflake Dies. Here's another picture of my projects that might show a little more detail:
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll come back tomorrow when Monika stops by to share her fabulous project!
